My name is Marthe.
Hi! My name is Marthe, I am 22 years old and I’m from Horten. I have a bachelors degree in graphic design from “Høyskolen Kristiania / Westerdals”, campus Oslo. I am a hardworking designer that loves a challenge and dont give up on anything. I started on my bachelor right after high school, where I took the media “line”. I have always known that I wanted to work with something creative and graphic design was the perfect choice.
After my bachelor I wanted to dig deeper into a subject, I knew I wasn’t done studying and that I had more potential to learn. In my three years I found a passion for wed and app design, from there I found the profession Frontend developer. So I started my two years of “Fagskole” right after my bachelors degree ended.
At the moment I am working as an intern in Design at Gjensidige in Oslo. I started the job in September last year and been working around 1-2 days a week. In the job I make small animation videos, flyers, pictures, posters, ads for print and social media and I work a lot with illustration. Gjensidiges profile is colourful, and they use mostly illustrations in their profile.
During my time at Gjensidige I have learned a lot about how designers work with the company’s profile, with other colleagues and the costumer. I unfortunately started the job during covid, so my work time has mostly on teams. Which has its challenges as I am a really social person that loves interacting with others and brainstorming together.
Fun fact
I took media in high school, that’s where I found out I wanted to be a graphic designer. I have also played football for eleven years in Horten, but I quit when I started studying in Oslo.
